Columban Council 6192 supports St. Mary’s of Bellevue parish and Our Lady of Peace parish at Offutt AFB

  • We have over 420 active members.
  • We help support a local seminarian each year with over $500.00. 
  • We pray the rosary before the start of each monthly meeting.
  • We make monthly cash donations to:
    • St. Mary’s School
    • The Stephen Center Shelter
    • Saint Vincent DePaul Society
  • We donate in excess of $50,000 annually to local area charities and families.
  • We maintains a large medical equipment lending locker to assist families.
  • We raise funds monthly to help support the “Women’s Touch” counseling center. 
  • We host an annual fund raise to start Catholic Schools Week with the proceeds going for Catholic Education.
  • We hold an annual garage sale with the proceeds and donated items going to local charities such as the St. Vincent DePaul families.
  • We perform numerous community service activities, such as highway cleaning on Ft Crook Road and providing vehicles and manpower to run the food bank for Our Family parish.
  • We sponsor an annual Halloween, Christmas party and Easter Egg Hunt for the children and grandchildren.
  • We pray for our ill and deceased family members by having a masses offered for the intention.
  • We maintain a Nebraska-wide email system as a Prayer Line.
  • We support the Columban Fathers annual golf tournament and other projects as they request.
  • We conduct a Lenten Family Fish Dinner.
  • We operate the largest Bingo in the state of Nebraska (source of charitable giving).
  • We provide $7500 annual in scholarships to graduating High School Seniors and 8th graders who attend Catholic Universities/Schools.
  • We conduct annual Tootsie Roll Drive to help those with intellectual disabilities.
  • We provided and maintains the Nativity Scene at St. Mary’s.
  • We support the Religious Education/Youth Ministry programs at both parishes.
  • We sponsor a Boy Scout Troop.
  • We cater and serve an annual dinner for the Archbishop and staffs at Confirmation.
  • We provides a $500 cash memorial to the family on the death of our brother Knight.
  • We, the Knights, serve and provide leadership in all area of our Church and communities.

Council Information

The Columban Council 6192 is located next to the city of Bellevue's Department of Parks and Recreation on 205 Industrial Road.

Council Meetings

The council general membership meeting is the first Tuesday of every month at the council hall on 205 Industrial Road, Bellevue, NE. Dinner is served at 6:30pm, the rosary begins around 7:00pm, and the meeting begins promptly at 7:30pm.

Who Are the Knights?

The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to more than 13,000 councils and 1.7 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Guatemala, Guam and Saipan.  The K of C is the world’s largest lay Catholic membership organization.  It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

How to Join

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to all practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years of age. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church.
