St. Mary's participates in the Project H.O.P.E. scrip program.  This program earns extra money for the school through the sale of gift cards.  The way the program works is simple:  we buy gift cards (scrip) from a national clearinghouse at a discount, and then sell the scrip at face value.  Different vendors rebate different percentages.  For example, Walmart provides a 2% discount.  We pay $98.00 for a $100.00 Walmart gift card, and then sell it for $100.00, thus generating a profit of $2.00.

Scrip is available after every Mass (with the exception of Christmas and Easter weekend).  You can also drop off orders at the Rectory. 

Tired of the hassle of finding an order form and writing out checks?  Great Lakes Scrip now accepts debit cards.  See below for step-by-step instructions for Paperless Ordering. 

Paperless Ordering

There are two ways to order and pay for scrip on-line:  by check or by debit card.  To use either method, you must first create an account on the Great Lakes Scrip web site.

Step 1:  Go to the Great Lakes Scrip web site - http://www.glscrip.com

Step 2:  Click on the link on the upper right corner:  shopwithscrip.com

Step 3:  Click on the tab:  "Get Started"

Step 4:  Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the link "Scrip-Using Families"

Step 5:  Click on the link and follow the registration instructions.  (St. Mary's enrollment code is 2L1FB7D76253).

Step 6:  Once you have a username and password, you will sign in and be sent to your Family Home page.

Step 7:  You can pay for your order with a debit card at the same time you place it on ShopWithScrip.com.  By using Presto-Pay, you save yourself the trouble of dropping off your check with the coordinator.  Plus, Presto-Pay makes it easy to reload some of our most popular gift cards.  There are two short videos that explain Presto-Pay.   Click here for an overview and click here for registration instructions.

Step 8:  If you want to pay by check, simply click the "Shop" tab while on the Family Home page, select the scrip you want to order, add it to your cart, and proceed to checkout.  You will then be given two payment options:  Presto Pay or Check.  Select Check, and your order will be submitted to the Order Coordinator.
