A Word to the Wise about "Taking the Bait" from the Media
Remember to be cautious about what you take in that may be considered alarmist and/or reactionary. Listen to a variety of sources, while being grounded in your faith and understanding. Consider tactics and strategies that are available to you. Well-intended reactions can backfire, causing undue interest, misdirection and lend unwarranted legitimacy to groups whose main objectives may be to get attention and gain easy rewards.

Chore Buster - Web-based scheduling application for families. Easily manage the chores that no one really wants to do. Log in, add people and chores, specify how difficult or dislikeable a task is and how often it needs to be done. Chore Buster then generates a fairly distributed schedule that can be sent out in a weekly email or printed to be stuck on the fridge or bulletin board. (Initially found on Emily Chang's eHub.)
Circle of Grace Safe Environment programs provide children and adults with Catholic formation and relationship education that promote healthy development of spirituality, sexuality, emotional growth, intellectual growth, and physical growth. edu 2.0 is a free web-based education site with comprehensive features for teachers, students and parents. Anyone can teach and/or learn using the system, whether it's at school, at home, or on the move.
Environmental Kids Club is EPA's website for kids. It helps you explore your environment and learn how to protect it with your family. They have games, pictures, and stories.
Heartland Family Services Tips for Today's Families. Heartland Family Service offers tips to help educate parents about common issues that families face.
