Middle School Program

Our Middle School program revolves around three themes: Liturgical/Scriptural study, Sacraments, and The Catechism of the Catholic Church. We use “Crossroads” by Harcourt Publications, which offers eight courses through out the three-year period.

In Sixth Grade, we educate our students on the use of the Bible and it’s incorporation in our Catholic faith, Materials used—Crossroads: “Old Testament”, “Jesus in the New Testament”. Each student is given a New American Bible.
In Seventh Grade, we give our students a greater understanding of the sacraments with the realization that their sacramental vocation should model the life of Jesus through service to others. Materials used-Crossroads: “Prayer”, “Sacraments”, and “Morality”.
In Eighth Grade, we explore the principles and beliefs of the Catholic Faith through the study of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation as a sacrament of initiation into a life of active Faith and becoming a disciple of Christ. Materials-Crossroads: “Commandments”, Apostle’s Creed”, and Discipleship”.
